Android N operating system update has finally arrived. The Android fans are in for a great news as Google is bringing multi-window mode, new notifications panel, and overall enhanced performance of Android N devices like 4G smartphones, the Nexus 5X and 6P.
Google has released an over the air update for devices that run on Android N OS’ developer preview. The report indicated that this new update will enhance the Android N-operated devices’ performance. However, it will only come available for 4G smartphones, the Nexus 5X and 6P.
The Android OS update may come in the following four or six weeks as previously announced by Google, considering also that the initial update has been released earlier than expected. Google’s plans reportedly may allow the developers to publish some apps for devices that run on the developer preview, 9to5 Google reported.
Moreover, there are a number of new features that awaiters believe to come with the OTA update. Reports are suggesting a multi-window mode, which may bring the same functions available on some gadgets of LG and Samsung to the Android N devices. Also, the report implied that a new panel of notifications may also become available in the latest Android N OS.
Although this Android OS remains to be under the stage of development, there are already some names that are most likely considered for the OS. The new name is now a common topic of discussion, N4BB reported. There are reports which indicate that Google has decided to name it as the New York Cheesecake.
However, this name is said to be quite far from its official name which is attached to the OS. Some of the potential names that have been recommended for the latest OS include Nori, Noodles, Neapolitan Ice Cream, Nougat and Nachos.
Android N OS’ first preview was released by Google early March.
